Over
(30) thirty years of health care industry experience that includes
a variety of management positions as a Senior Planning Executive,
Hospital Chief Operating Officer, Chief Health Officer (Police/Corrections),
and Regional Director of Healthcare Consulting with National Accounting
& Management Consulting firm. Focus of work experience has
been in acute care, long-term care, emergency medical services,
primary care, managed care, correctional healthcare, healthcare
informatics, public health, Bioterrorism/WMD, and regional mass
casualty coordination. At St. Louis University School of Public
Health, currently serving as Associate Director of the Heartland
Center For Public Health Preparedness and faculty member within
the Department of Health Management and Policy.
Most recently, served as Director of Health for the City of St.
Louis. In this capacity, developed the first Bioterrorism/Emergency
Response System and Unified Command structure within the Department
of Health and associated emergency response agencies. In addition,
served as Interim Director for the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical
Response System (SLMMRS) and served as Chair for the Public Health
Task Force for the St. Louis Area Regional Response System (STARRS).
In this role, integrated the public safety/public health emergency
response into the broader disaster response for the region. Currently
providing Technical Advisory assistance to the St. Louis City
Emergency Management Agency serving as Planning Section Chief
for high consequence event management within the City’s
NIMS structure.
